KisMap is a tool for mapping wi-fi networks and serves also as collaborative directory.

This web application collects log files made with Kismet, a wireless network detector for linux.

User’s log file are parsed and all the contens becomes freely browsable on the map.

It was developed as thesis project for my university degree and for learning Ruby on Rails.

For now is available in public beta, but development stopped a long ago.

I’m planning a complete rewrite of this app in a bit more social way, but the project is hidden in my treasure chest :-)
